Formulators that want to join the ZDHC Gateway and use all its functionalities, need to consider that there are costs related to it.
01/ ZDHC Gateway Formulator Subscription:
During the registration process, you have the option to choose a 30-day Trial period or immediately subscribe to the Pro Standard or ZDHC Contributor Plan (formerly known as Pro Enterprise). With the 30-day Trial period, you can upload all your chemical products in the ZDHC Gateway, but the chemical products will remain unpublished. Once the Trial period is over, you will need to upgrade your subscription to continue using the system and to be able to publish the products*. In case you are not a ZDHC Contributor of ZDHC, you will have to choose the Pro Standard subscription. To learn more about the two types of subscription, the Pro Standard and the ZDHC Contributor Plan (formerly known as Pro Enterprise), please click here.
New ZDHC Gateway Pricing Model (as of 01 January 2023)
To facilitate an easier process for Formulators registering their organisation and chemical products onto the ZDHC Gateway we will introduce changes to the current ZDHC Gateway Subscription Model for Formulators, which will be in place from 01 January 2023 onwards.
With the new ZDHC Gateway Subscription Model for Formulators, ZDHC is introducing a more transparent, efficient, and simplified process for Formulators, as it will consist of one pricing component only and eliminates the additional product token subscription to publish "Registered", and ZDHC MRSL Level 1 conformant chemical products.
As of 01 January 2023, when registering a new account on the ZDHC Gateway or when renewing an existing subscription upon expiration, Formulators will be assigned to an access tier fee, based on the number of total chemical products they intend to publish within the subscription year. There will no longer be an additional product token fee charged to the Formulator.
Please check the bottom of this article to find the new ZDHC Gateway Pricing Guide of 2023 attached.
Running ZDHC Gateway Pricing Model (still activated in 2022)
For the Pro Standard subscription, the annual access fee starts at 1100 EUR for 0 - 49 products. The annual product fee cost is 21 EUR for a registered or Level 1 product and free for all Level 2 and 3 products. Please check the bottom of this article to find the ZDHC Gateway Pricing Guide of 2022 attached
For those with a current running subscription, we recommend no longer purchasing or renewing product tokens to publish "Registered" chemical products, as the “Registered” products will no longer exist in accordance with the implementation of the ZDHC Conformance Guidance 2.0. Publishing ZDHC MRSL Level 1 Conformant chemical products still need a token. A refund of already purchased tokens will not be given.
Upon subscription renewal in 2023, the above new ZDHC Gateway Pricing Model will apply.
02/ ZDHC ChemCheck report:
The cost to create a ZDHC ChemCheck report is included in the annual product fee. This also includes ZDHC reviewing information on SDS and third-party (independent) certification bodies, which ZDHC accepts (based on a review of their processes) as indicators of certifications for ZDHC MRSL conformance.
Please note that ZDHC does not certify products and does not reach out to the accepted third-party certification bodies to get your products certified.
*At the end of the 30 days free trial, what happens? After 30 days does the access lapse or do we have to do something to avoid payments being automatically taken? If they want to continue after 30 days, what would it cost?
Once you’ve completed your registration, you would be given a 30-day Trial period where you can upload all your chemical products in the ZDHC Gateway, but the chemical products will remain unpublished. Once the Trial period is over, you would need to upgrade your subscription to continue using the system. You would also need to upgrade so that you can Publish your chemical products. Kindly note that only Published chemical products will be searchable to your Brands and Suppliers.
