This article explains the ClearStream activity log for wastewater laboratories — what it shows, how to use it, and how to filter the information.
01/ Introduction
The ClearStream activity log is accessible from the ClearStream module's left-hand menu. It provides a complete, timestamped record of every action taken across all projects managed by your laboratory. This is useful for tracking project progress, investigating issues, and maintaining an audit trail of all testing activity.
02/ What the activity log shows
The activity log displays a table with the following columns:
- Date — the date and time the action was taken.
- ClearStream cycle ID — the identifier for the testing cycle the action belongs to.
- Action type — the type of event that occurred.
- Performed by — the user or system that performed the action.
- Description — additional details about the action.
03/ Action types you may see
The activity log records all significant events across the ClearStream project workflow. Examples include:
- Cycle started
- Wastewater criteria submitted
- Lab request submitted
- Lab request accepted
- Lab request rejected
- Sampling completed
- Testing started
- Test results updated
- Supplier accepted
- Supplier declined
This list is not exhaustive — all meaningful actions from both the supplier and laboratory sides of the workflow are recorded.
04/ Filtering the activity log
Filters are available at the top of the activity log. You can filter by date range, cycle ID, or action type.
Tip: If you are investigating a specific project, filter by the ClearStream cycle ID to see a focused chronological record of every action taken for that project by both you and the supplier.
05/ Tips & Notes
Note: The activity log is read-only. No entries can be edited or deleted. This ensures the log is a reliable and tamper-proof audit trail of all ClearStream activity.
