This article explains what the laboratory can see and do during the Testing stage of a ClearStream project, including how to review the required parameters, export them, and confirm that testing has started.

01/ Introduction

Once the supplier has submitted sampling information, the project card moves to the Testing column on the My Projects board. At this stage, the physical wastewater testing at the supplier's facility is underway. The Testing stage on the platform has two tasks: verify that the parameter list is correct, then confirm that testing has started.

Confirming the start of testing notifies the supplier and moves the project forward to the Reporting stage.

02/ Reviewing the required parameters

  1. Open the My Projects board in the ClearStream module.
  2. Locate the project card in the Testing column.
  3. Click the card to open the side panel.
  4. Review the parameter list shown. For each parameter, you can see the parameter category, the parameter name, the matrix (the sampling point the parameter applies to), the allowed test methods, and the applicable limits.

03/ Exporting the parameter list

If you prefer to review the parameters outside the platform, you can download the full list as a CSV file.

  1. In the Testing stage side panel, click Export to CSV.
  2. Open the downloaded file in a spreadsheet application to review all parameters, matrices, test methods, and limits.

Tip: The CSV export is a useful reference to take on-site or share with other team members involved in conducting the tests.

04/ If something looks wrong

The laboratory cannot edit the parameter list at this stage. The parameters are derived automatically from the supplier's facility profile. If you believe there is an error in the parameters shown, contact ZDHC customer support. Do not confirm the start of testing if you are uncertain, as incorrect tests will affect the validity of the results.

Note: Do not contact the supplier to resolve parameter discrepancies at this stage. If the facility profile is incorrect, this must be addressed through ZDHC customer support.

05/ Confirming the start of testing

Once you have verified the parameters and the physical testing at the supplier's facility is underway, confirm the start of testing on the platform.

  1. In the Testing stage side panel, click Confirm start of testing in the bottom right of the page.
  2. Confirm your decision.

The supplier is notified immediately that testing has started. The project card moves to the Reporting column and you can begin entering test results.

Note: This action cannot be undone. Once you confirm the start of testing, you cannot return to the Testing stage. Only confirm when the physical sampling and testing at the facility is genuinely underway.
