This article explains how to complete the Sampling stage in the ClearStream module after accepting a supplier's testing request.

01/ Introduction

Once you have accepted a testing request, the project card moves to the Sampling column on your My Projects board. At this stage, you must enter the sampling information for the project before physical testing can begin. This includes the project identifiers, the discharge method, wastewater type, and the details of each sampling point.

Once the sampling information is submitted, it is locked. No further changes can be made to this data.

02/ Steps

1. Open the My Projects board in the ClearStream module. 
2. Locate the project card in the Sampling column. 
3. Click the card to open the side panel. 
4. Enter the ClearStream ID for this project. This is the unique identifier for the testing cycle on the Gateway. 
5. Enter the on-site app project number. This is the project number used by the sampler when collecting samples at the facility. 
6. Select the effluent discharge method. 
7. Select the wastewater type. 
8. Indicate whether there is an industrial wastewater volume for this project. 
9. Add the relevant sampling points. Click Add sampling point for each point you need to record. For each sampling point, enter: 

• The sampling point type (untreated wastewater, effluent wastewater, or sludge — select only the types that are applicable). 
• The latitude and longitude of the sampling point location. 
• Any other required information shown for that sampling point type. 

10. Once all sampling points are entered and all fields are complete, click Submit. 
11. Confirm that you want to proceed. Once confirmed, the sampling data is locked and cannot be edited. 

03/ Sampling point types

Three sampling point types are available:

• Untreated wastewater — the wastewater before any treatment is applied.
• Effluent wastewater — the wastewater after treatment, at the point of discharge.
• Sludge — solid or semi-solid material separated during wastewater treatment.

Only add sampling points that are applicable to this supplier's facility. Not all three types are required for every project.

04/ After submitting sampling information

Once sampling information is submitted, the project card moves to the Testing column. The physical wastewater testing at the supplier's facility can now begin.

Note: Once you click Submit and confirm, the sampling data is permanently locked. If you identify an error after submitting, contact ZDHC customer support for guidance. You cannot make changes to sampling information yourself at this stage.

05/ Tips & Notes

Tip: Verify all sampling point coordinates carefully before submitting. Incorrect location data cannot be corrected without contacting support after submission.

Note: The on-site app project number links the Gateway record to the sampler's records in the field. Make sure this number matches exactly what is being used on site.
