Registering as a Supplier on the ZDHC Gateway is free of charge. However, some modules and tools available on the ZDHC Gateway involve additional costs.
01/ Introduction
Suppliers can register on and access the ZDHC Gateway free of charge.
If you want to publish ZDHC ClearStream wastewater reports, you must purchase an annual wastewater reporting subscription through the ZDHC Gateway.
If you want to generate ZDHC Performance InCheck reports, the subscription fees are arranged directly with your chosen ZDHC Approved Solution Provider and are not paid through the ZDHC Gateway.
02/ What costs should I expect?
Depending on which ZDHC Gateway modules you use, the following costs apply:
ZDHC ClearStream Reports
To publish ClearStream reports on the ZDHC Gateway, you need:
- An annual wastewater reporting subscription purchased through the ZDHC Gateway.
- Wastewater testing carried out by a ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratory. The testing costs are agreed and paid directly to the laboratory and are separate from the ZDHC Gateway subscription.
ZDHC Performance InCheck Reports
To generate Performance InCheck reports, you must work with a ZDHC Approved Solution Provider.
Performance InCheck subscription fees are managed outside the ZDHC Gateway, vary by Solution Provider, and should be discussed with your chosen provider directly.
03/ When do I pay the wastewater reporting subscription?
The wastewater reporting subscription is purchased as part of the ClearStream onboarding process. Before the subscription becomes available, you must complete the first steps of the workflow:
- Start the ClearStream process.
- Complete your facility profile and confirm it is in scope.
- Select your wastewater testing laboratory.
- The laboratory accepts your testing request.
Once these steps are complete, the subscription checkout becomes available within the ClearStream workflow.
04/ Payment methods
The ZDHC Gateway supports two payment methods:
- Credit or debit card: payment is processed immediately, and the subscription activates straight away.
- Bank transfer: the subscription activates immediately on checkout, and you have 30 days to complete the bank transfer. A bank transfer administrative fee applies.

05/ What happens if the wastewater reporting subscription expires?
If your wastewater reporting subscription expires, you will no longer be able to publish ClearStream wastewater reports until you purchase a new subscription.
No existing data is deleted.

06/ VAT
VAT is calculated based on your contact details country. Suppliers in the Netherlands pay 21% VAT. EU-based Suppliers outside the Netherlands can apply a VAT reverse charge by providing a valid VAT ID at checkout. Suppliers outside the EU are tax-exempt.
