This article explains how to access the ClearStream module on ZDHC Gateway, what you will find when you open it, and how to complete the first step of the wastewater testing workflow.

01/ Introduction

ClearStream is the ZDHC programme for wastewater testing at supplier facilities. Any supplier registered on the ZDHC Gateway has access to the ClearStream module. The module contains all the information and tools you need to complete the wastewater testing process — from reading about the programme to receiving your final ClearStream status — without leaving the platform.

02/ What you will find in the ClearStream module

When you open the ClearStream module from the main navigation, you land on the General Information page. This page explains:

• What ClearStream is and why it matters.
• What you will receive at the end of the process.
• The ZDHC Gateway reporting fee (applicable only to administrative and platform services). This fee does not cover laboratory testing costs.
• The laboratory charges an additional fee, separate from other fees, specifically for physical testing.

From the left-hand menu inside the module, you can also access:

• Reports & Insights: an overview of your ClearStream history and any completed test reports.
• Activity Log: a record of all actions taken in the module.
• Get ClearStream: the button that launches the step-by-step testing workflow.

03/ The ClearStream workflow

When you click Get ClearStream, you are taken to the workflow overview page. This page shows all seven steps of the ClearStream process and gives you a clear picture of where you are at any time.

The seven steps are:

1. Begin wastewater testing
2. Determine test type
3. Choose laboratory
4. Process reporting fee
5. Conduct wastewater testing
6. Review test results
7. ClearStream & next steps

On this overview page, you can see:

• The current step is highlighted.
• Locked steps are shown with a reason explaining why they cannot be accessed yet.
• The next required action is shown clearly, so you always know what to do next.

Each step must be completed in order before the next one unlocks.

04/ Step 1: Begin wastewater testing

Step 1 confirms you've read key programme information before continuing.

1. On the workflow overview page, click Begin wastewater testing (Step 1) to open it.
2. Read the information shown. This covers the ZDHC requirements and what to expect from the process ahead.
3. Click Complete the step when you are ready to proceed.

Once you click Complete the step, the status pill on the Step 1 card changes from Action required to Completed, and Step 2 — Determine test type — becomes available.

05/ Tips & Notes

Tip: Before completing Step 1, read the General Information page, especially the fees. Reporting and lab fees are separate. Understand both before starting.

Note: You must complete each ClearStream workflow step in order; you cannot skip ahead.
