This article covers Step 7 of the ClearStream workflow: accessing and downloading your ClearStream Report, as well as the next steps if the parameters fail.
01/ Introduction
Step 7 — ClearStream & next steps — is the final step in the ClearStream workflow. It becomes available after you accept the test results in Step 6. This is the permanent record of your completed wastewater testing cycle on the ZDHC Gateway. You can return to this page at any time to view or download your report.
This step is also the starting point for a root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plan (CAP) if any parameters in your results were non-conformant. The RCA/CAP process is covered in a separate article in the Knowledge Base.
02/ What you will find on the ClearStream Report page
The ClearStream Report page shows a testing result summary containing:
- Your ClearStream cycle ID.
- The overall outcome (pass or fail).
- The total number of parameters tested.
- The number of parameters that passed and the number that failed.
- Your conformance rate — the percentage of parameters that met the ZDHC guidelines thresholds.
From this page, you can also:
- Download the ClearStream PDF — your official testing report for sharing with brands, auditors, or other stakeholders.
- Download the full test results — a detailed export of all parameters, measured values, and compliance statuses.
- View the full test results — an on-screen view including a complete timeline of the testing cycle.
- Start the RCA/CAP process — if parameters failed, you can begin a root cause analysis and corrective action plan from this page.
03/ How to download your ClearStream Report
- In the ClearStream workflow, open the ClearStream & next steps step.
- Click Download report to save the official ClearStream PDF to your device.
The PDF includes full details of your testing cycle—facility profile, tested parameters, measured values, and overall outcome. Use this document as proof of your ClearStream status.
04/ Returning to a previous report
The ClearStream Report page for each completed testing cycle is always accessible from the Reports & Insights section. You do not need to re-enter the workflow to view past reports.
05/ Next steps if parameters failed
If one or more parameters did not meet the ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines, you will see the option to begin a root cause analysis and corrective action plan (RCA/CAP) from this page.
Click Start RCA/CAP to begin the workflow, where you can document each non-conformant parameter, corrective actions, evidence, and planned resolution dates. The RCA/CAP report can also be downloaded and shared.
The full RCA/CAP process is covered in a separate article — see the related articles below.
Tip: RCA/CAP entries can be completed for any parameter, not only failed ones. However, only failed parameters require action. You can update RCA/CAP entries at any time and mark them as resolved when the corrective action is complete.
