This article explains how to download your product list and share the right information with a certification body so they can locate your products and begin the certification process.

01/ Introduction

Assigning a certification body to your product in ChemCheck does not automatically notify the Certification Body. After assigning, contact them directly and provide your product name and ID. This article explains where to find that information and how to share it efficiently.

02/ Why the certifier needs your product name and product ID

When a certification body opens its Approvals overview, they see products from all the formulators that have assigned them. To quickly locate your specific product, they use the product name and product ID. Providing the product ID is optional but recommended. It ensures accurate matching even if similar product names exist on the platform.

Option 1 - Share details for a single product

  1. In the top navigation, click ChemCheck.
  2. In the left-hand navigation, click Products.
  3. Find the product in your portfolio and click on it to open the product detail page.
  4. Note the Product name and the Product ID displayed at the top of the page. Screenshot of the product detail page showing the product name and product ID fields.
  5. Contact your certification body directly by email or phone and provide them with both values.

Option 2 - Download your full product list

If you need to share details for multiple products at once, download your product list as an Excel file.

  1. In the top navigation, click ChemCheck.
  2. In the left-hand navigation, click Products.
  3. In the toolbar above the product table, click the Export icon.
  4. The Export products view will then show up. From here, you can download your products as a CSV file. You can use the filtering options to narrow the products you want to include.
  5. Click on Export CSV file. The file will then be downloaded to your computer. It contains all your products with their names, product IDs, statuses, and classification details. Screenshot of the product portfolio toolbar with the download icon highlighted.
  6. Share the relevant rows from the file with your certification body.

Tip: If you are working with a CB that certifies many of your products, sharing the full Excel list saves time compared to sharing individual product IDs.

03/ After sharing

Once the CB has your product name and product ID, they can locate the product in their Approvals overview and begin the review. You don't need to do anything else until the certification is complete.

To track progress, check the product's status on the product detail page. When the CB has certified the product, the status changes from Under Review to Accepted.

04/ Tips & Notes

Note: The product portfolio download includes all your products regardless of status. If you are sharing this file externally, review the content before sending to ensure you are only sharing the products and details you intend to.
