This article explains the bulk actions available in the product portfolio, how to use them, and how the platform handles products that are not eligible for a selected action.
01/ Introduction
The product portfolio supports bulk actions, allowing you to apply certain operations to multiple products at once without opening each product individually. When products are selected, an action bar appears at the top of the portfolio table.
Current bulk actions available:
- Publish — publish multiple accepted products at once
- Unpublish — remove multiple products from public visibility at once
- Assign certification body — assign a CB to multiple products at once
- Unassign certification body — remove a CB assignment from multiple products at once
- Download ChemCheck summary report — generate a combined PDF report for multiple published products
02/ How to perform a bulk action
- Go to ChemCheck and then click on Products.
- Select the products you want to act on by clicking the checkbox on each row. You can select as many as needed.
- The action bar appears at the top of the table. Choose the action you want to perform.
A confirmation modal opens. The modal shows:
• How many of the selected products are eligible for the action• How many are excluded and why (e.g., a product cannot be published if it is not showing status Accepted)- Review the summary, then click Confirm to execute the action on eligible products only.
03/ Eligibility rules per action
Publish
A product is eligible for bulk publication if its status is Accepted. Products in Draft, Under Review, or Not Accepted status are excluded and will not be published.
Unpublish
A product is eligible for bulk unpublish if its current status is Published. Products that are not currently published are excluded.
Assign a certification body.
A product is eligible if the selected certification body is not already assigned to it. Products with an assigned CB are excluded from the bulk assignment.
Unassign certification body
A product is eligible if the selected certification body is currently assigned to it. Products where the CB is not assigned are excluded.
04/ Tips & Notes
Note: The confirmation modal always shows you exactly how many products will be affected before you confirm. Review this carefully: excluded products are unaffected, but the action on eligible products is immediate.
Tip: Use bulk publishing when you have a large number of newly accepted products to make public at once. The eligibility filter means you can safely select your entire portfolio without worrying about accidentally publishing products that aren't ready.
