This article explains the two user roles available on the ZDHC Gateway and how to change a team member's role.
01/ Introduction
Every user in an organisation has one of two roles: Organisation Admin or Organisation Member. Admins can manage team members and edit organisation details. Organisation Members can use the platform, but cannot make changes to the organisation or its members.
02/ Roles explained
| Role | What they can do |
| Organisation Admin | Full access to the organisation. Can invite and remove team members, change user roles, and edit organisation details. |
| Organisation Member | Can use all platform features available to the organisation. Cannot manage team members or edit organisation details. |
Note: There is currently no further role granularity. Access cannot be restricted at the module level. Every Organisation Member has the same level of platform access within the organisation.
03/ Prerequisites
- You must be an admin user of the organisation.
04/ Changing a user's role
Upgrading a member to admin
- Go to the Team page from the organisation navigation.
- Find the team member you want to upgrade.
- Click on their role or the options menu next to their name.
- Select Make Admin.
Downgrading an admin to a standard user
- Go to the Team page.
- Find the admin user you want to downgrade.
- Click on their role or the options menu next to their name.
- Select Remove Admin.
Note: You cannot remove admin status from the last remaining admin in an organisation. Every organisation must have at least one admin at all times. The platform will prevent this action if you are the only admin.
05/ Tips & Notes
Tip: Organisations can have multiple admins. If you are the sole admin, consider upgrading a trusted colleague before making changes to your own account.
