Knowledge base

The ZDHC Gateway has a global search feature that lets you find any registered organisation or chemical formulation on the platform. This article explains how to use global search and what you can see in the results.

01/ Introduction

With the relaunch of the ZDHC Gateway, search is available in the navigation bar. You can click the search icon to open the search bar. The results are faster, and the filter options have been expanded.

Global search is available to all logged-in users, regardless of organisation type. You can search for organisations (suppliers, chemical formulators, brands, labs, and others) and for chemical formulations simultaneously.

Search is read-only. You cannot edit or manage any record directly from the search results.

02/ Steps

  1. Click the search icon in the top navigation bar. A search panel opens.
  2. Type your search term. Results start appearing as you type — no need to press Enter.
  3. The results panel has tabs for All Results, Organisations, and Formulations. All results preview both types.
  4. Click a tab to see the full list for that category.
  5. Use the filter options in each tab to narrow your results (see the available filters below).
  6. Click View on any result to open the full profile or product detail page.

04/ Available filters

Organisations

  • Type — filter by organisation type (e.g. Supplier, chemical formulator, brand, Wastewater Laboratory)
  • Location — filter by country

Formulations

  • Formulator
  • Use type — filter by the product's use type classification
  • Category — filter by product category
  • MRSL Level
  • CtZ level
  • Certification Bodies

Additional filter options will be added over time based on user feedback.

Note: Products registered under the previous version of the ZDHC Gateway classification system use the previous formulation use types. Newly registered products use the updated formulation classification list. Both are searchable, and you can filter formulations for each separately.

05/ What you can see in search results

All search results show only publicly available information. What is visible depends on the organisation type:

  • Organisations — name, organisation ID, type, and address are always visible for any approved Gateway account.
  • Chemical formulations — product name, formulator name, MRSL conformance level, and Chemicals to Zero status are visible for all published products.

To see detailed performance data (such as InCheck reports or ClearStream results), you must be connected to that organisation. See How do I manage my organisation's connections?.

06/ Tips & Notes

Tip: If you see "no results" when searching, check for typos or try a shorter search term.

Note: Search only returns approved ZDHC Gateway accounts. Organisations awaiting approval will not appear.
