This article explains how to register a new organisation on the ZDHC Gateway, from receiving an invitation through to submitting your registration for review.
01/ Introduction
There is no public registration button on the ZDHC Gateway. To register your organisation, you must first receive an invitation from an organisation already active on the platform. In most cases, this will be a brand or vendor that you work with. Inviting suppliers to the ZDHC Gateway is one of the most common actions on the platform.
Once you receive an invitation, you complete a multi-step registration form. After submission, your registration is reviewed by the ZDHC team before your organisation becomes active.
02/ Pre-requisites to register
- An invitation email from an organisation already registered on the ZDHC Gateway.
Note: If you have not received an invitation, contact the brand, vendor, or business partner you work with and ask them to invite your organisation. ZDHC Customer Support Team can send an invitation in exceptional circumstances, but your business partner is the recommended starting point.
03/ Steps
- Open the invitation email and click the registration link to start.
- You are taken to the ZDHC Gateway registration page. Here you can either:
- Create an account by entering your name, email, and password, or
- Log in with an existing account if you already have a personal ZDHC Gateway account.
- Select your organisation type. The user account you use for this step will automatically be assigned as the admin account for the new organisation.
- Choose your organisation type (e.g., Supplier, Chemical Formulator).
- Enter your organisation's basic details. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*). This includes:
- Organisation name
- Country
- Address
- Website
- Phone number
- VAT number (where applicable)
- Enter the contact details for your organisation. This is a general contact — such as an info@ email address — and is separate from your personal user account details.
- Complete the fields specific to your organisation type. These vary depending on the type you selected in Step 2. All mandatory fields are clearly marked. Examples include:
- Suppliers: Industry identifiers and a business registration document
- Chemical Formulators: A Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
- Review your information, correct errors, and click Submit.
04/ After submission
Once submitted, your registration is reviewed by ZDHC. You can log in to the ZDHC Gateway immediately after submitting. Your organisation will appear on the organisation selection page with its current review status.
See the article What is the registration status of my organisation? for a full explanation of what each status means and what to do next.
05/ Tips & Notes
Tip: The person who completes the registration automatically becomes the admin of the new organisation. Choose carefully — admin users are the only ones who can manage team members and edit organisation details.
Notes:
- You will receive an email notification for every decision made on your registration — whether it is accepted, declined, or returned for improvements.
- Registration progress is not saved between sessions. All steps of the registration form must be completed in one sitting.
- Invitation links expire after 7 days. A second invite can be sent to the same address if the first one has expired.
