The OS ID is a unique Reference Number which is allocated to a specific manufacturing site and held within the Open Supply Hub database (OS Hub).

This was previously known as an OAR ID held within the Open Apparel Registry. In November 2022, when the scope of the database was extended beyond Apparel and Footwear, to include other industries such as Home Textiles, Electronics etc. the Open Apparel Registry was relaunched as the Open Supply Hub (OS Hub).

This unique single identity allows users to share and collect data across multiple platforms. This has benefits for all stakeholders:

  • For the OS ID holder, it will reduce repetitive data entry across multiple platforms, including the ZDHC Gateway.
  • For supply chain partners of the OS ID holder, it will provide confidence that data collected from multiple platforms, always relates to the same supplier and manufacturing site location.

Already have an OAR ID? If this is the case, your existing ID number remains the same but will now be referred to as your OS ID number. If your OAR ID was already on your ZDHC Gateway profile, this will be updated automatically to OS ID.

If not, please follow the instructions below.

01/ Mapping an existing OS ID to your Gateway Profile

  1. Go to opensupplyhub.org to search for your existing OS ID. Note: if you already know your OS ID (previously known as OAR ID), proceed to step 8.
  2. Search for your organisation in the Facility Name or OS ID search box.

  5. Click PROFILE on the left navigation tab. If your account is linked to several organisations, click View Profile next to the one you are updating.
