The ZDHC ClearStream report allows Suppliers to share their wastewater performance with their Brand clients. It is generated from the wastewater test report uploaded by our ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratories and is linked to the Supplier Profile on the Gateway for key details.
Take a look at this complete breakdown of the ClearStream report to learn more about its different segments. You may also find an example ClearStream report attached at the bottom of this article.

The header of the report shows key Supplier vitals and reporting information, such as:
- The Wastewater Guideline that the wastewater was tested against.
- Reporting Period and Reporting Date that the report is from.
- Sample Date of the wastewater test provided by the Wastewater Laboratory.
In the left column of the Supplier Overview, you can find facility-specific details submitted by the Supplier, such as:
- The industry Sector, Materials and Processes that were indicated in the Supplier Profile. They indicate which wastewater guidelines, parameters and limit values are applicable to the facility to guarantee a fair assessment.
- Sample Locations of the test.
In the right column of the Supplier Overview, you can find technical specifications from the Electronic Data Reporting (EDR) upload submitted by the Wastewater Laboratory:
- Further facility details, such as the Discharge Type and Pre-Treatments.
- Major Sludge Pathway, % Representation of Sludge Disposal and Average Total Wastewater Generated.
In the High Level Performance section you may find the high-level results of the parameters at a glance.
Conventionals and Anions / Metals – Scoring Logic:
- Substances meeting Foundational limits: 1 point each
- Substances meeting Progressive limits: 2 points each
- Substances meeting Aspirational limits: 3 points each
MRSL – Scoring Logic:
- All substances meeting the limit value are counted as 1 point each
The number highlighted above shows a variable of the total points available to a Supplier based on the parameters they have to test.
