What is the Pro Bono Training?
Once the initial application criteria has been met, the nominated trainers of the prospective ATP are expected to demonstrate their training skills in a pro-bono training.
The skill-based assessment via pro bono training aims to determine whether the nominated trainers have the correct skill set and knowledge to conduct effective training.
The exact approach of the pro bono training is discussed and agreed upon by you and ZDHC together, and is dependent on a number of factors:
- Number of trainers that have been nominated in the application
- The subject matters in which the trainers have expertise
- The location(s) where the trainers are located
- The languages that the trainers are fluent in
What do I need to prepare for this training?
Before conducting a pro bono training, the ZDHC Academy Team will provide the applicant with the following:
- Assessment checklist & KPI for pro bono training
- Assessment checklist & KPI for video assessment (if both parties decide to take this approach)
- Relevant training material or curriculum to be used for the pro bono
How will this be organised?
- Usually, the pro bono is conducted online or in person, with a maximum of 5 trainers and a training group size of 6 individual learners.
- The pro bono can be arranged as an online- or in person training. Whichever method the training session is organised, this should be agreed upon with the ZDHC Academy Team
What is the video assessment?
- If more than 5 trainers are nominated in the same application, the additional trainers will be required to conduct the skill-based assessment via a short video recording
- The video recording should last no longer than 10 minutes and be submitted electronically to the ZDHC Academy Team.
What should I do after this has been completed?
The assessor(s) will complete the pro bono assessment form, based on the trainers' performance and inform whether the application has been approved. You can then sign the relevant documents to successfully become an Approved Training Provider.
