How to Delete Files
The file uploads overview displays files in a table format with:
- Column headers:
- "Filename" - Shows the name of uploaded files
- "File used as evidence in question" - Shows where the file is being used
- For each file row:
- File name in the first column
- Usage information in the second column, which can show:
- Specific questions where the file is used (e.g., "Written chemical management policy")
- "This file is not used as evidence for questions" for unused files
- Action buttons on the right:
- Blue download icon
- Red bin (trash) icon for deletion
- Red "REMOVE FILE FROM QUESTION" links next to each question where the file is used
To delete a file:
- First ensure the file is not used as evidence in any questions:
- Check the "File used as evidence in question" column
- If the file is used, click "REMOVE FILE FROM QUESTION" next to each usage
- Wait for the status to update to "This file is not used as evidence for questions"
- Once the file is not used in any questions, click the red bin icon on the right side of the file's row
Note: The file first needs to be removed from all questions to be able to be deleted. You cannot delete a file while it is being used as evidence in any question.
