This guide will show you how to upload multiple chemical products in bulk.
Please note that your customers or potential customers (supplier and brand users) can only view public products. Refer to this article for publishing products.
01 / Uploading multiple products
- Click Products on the left navigation panel and click on the Products tab.
- Click the Bulk Upload button on the right-hand side.
- Click Download to download the bulk product template.
- Fill out the template. An explanation of all fields can be found under 02 / Product upload template.
- Upload your data in the Product list upload and the File attachments upload. The latter should be used for uploading Safety Data Sheet (SDS) files or PDF certificate files (optional).
Note: You can upload your data through drag & drop or by choosing a file. - Review the details of your data.
Note: If the system recognizes an error in your bulk upload file, error fields will be highlighted in red. Correct all errors, if applicable. - Click Save and Ok in the pop-up window. Your products are uploaded!
02 / Product upload template
Please refer to the descriptions of each column of the Product upload template:
- Formulator: Please add the organisation name of the chemical formulator of this product (make sure that the organisation name exactly matches the name that is registered on the ZDHC Gateway).
- Formulation (Product) Name: Please add the name of the product you are uploading in English. It should match the one on the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- Product Code: Please add the specific code of the chemical product (optional).
- Substrate: Please select the type of substrate from the drop-down list.
- Use Category: Please select the use category/categories (e.g. dyes and pigments).
- Use Type: Please select the use type/s of the product (e.g. the type of dye).
- Description: Use this field to give more information about the product (optional).
- Action Types: Select what kind of action is required. You can choose between creating a new product (no SDS added), creating a new product with SDS, updating the details of an existing product, updating the SDS of an existing product, and adding a PDF certificate file to an existing product with existing certification details.
- Third Party Review Certifying Body: Please select one of our ZDHC Approved MRSL Certifiers that certified your product here, only if you are adding a PDF certificate file (optional).
- MRSL Version: Please select the current MRSL version, only if you are adding a PDF certificate file (optional).
- Issue Date: Please add the date the certificate has been issued in the DD-MM-YYYY format, only if you are adding a PDF certificate file (optional).
- Third Party Review Certification Attachment Name (pdf only): Please add the name of the pdf certificate file (optional). If the name differs an error occurs.
- SDS Attachment Name (pdf only): Please add the name of the PDF Safety Data Sheet file that you will upload in the next step (optional at this step, mandatory when publishing products). If the name differs, an error occurs. Note: in case you wish to share your SDS via a link, you won’t have to add any information here.
- SDS Link: Please provide a link to a space where more information about the SDS is stored (optional at this step, mandatory when publishing products). This can be an internal platform or a web link, but it should not be an email address. Note: in case your SDS is a PDF, you won’t have to add any information here.
- SDS Link Instructions: This is for formulators to provide instructions to their clients, e.g. additional details on how they can download the SDS from the link provided previously (optional). Note: in case your SDS is a PDF, you won’t have to add any information here.
- Country: This field can only accommodate one country, but you can add multiple countries when you edit the Product details (optional).
- ChemCheck Description: Please add a brief product description which will be displayed in the ChemCheck report (optional).
