Chemical Formulators

• OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT products: temporary measures. While we restore the data connection (API) between OEKO-TEX® and the ZDHC Gateway, we are applying the following interim measures. These are temporary and will be replaced once the connection is live again:
  • Products assigned to OEKO-TEX® that have no certificate on the ZDHC Gateway now receive a temporary ZDHC Level 1 certification (ZDHC MRSL v3.1, valid 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027). Their status changes from "Under Review" to "Accepted", so you can publish them. Newly assigned products are picked up on a recurring basis.
  • Publishing stays your choice. Nothing is published automatically, and a temporary certification you remove is not added back.
  • Products whose OEKO-TEX® certificate confirms Level 3 but showed Level 1 on the ZDHC Gateway have been corrected to Level 3 based on the requests we received.
• Internal Product Note. The product detail page now includes a new optional field where you can add your own reference for internal use.

ZDHC MRSL Certifiers / Certification Bodies

No major certifier-specific updates in this batch. See General Updates.

Suppliers

• InCheck subscription renewals. The "Renew" option has been removed from the supplier InCheck subscription. Renewals are now handled exclusively by InCheck solution providers. You can reach out to your solution provider for further details on the renewal process.

ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratories

• Test methods are pre-filled in ClearStream reports. Each parameter's test method is now pre-filled with the method your lab used for that parameter in its most recently submitted report. Only your own lab's previous methods are used. You review the pre-filled methods and change any where needed; your value always overrides. Where you have no previous method for a parameter, or it is no longer a valid option, the field stays empty. Pre-filled methods are also included with the parameter file you download. We expect this to cut the time spent on entering report data roughly in half.
• CSV upload: method matching fixed. A value in the "method" column that exactly matches one of the listed available methods is now applied correctly. Methods that are not listed go in the "other_test_method" column.
• CSV upload: validation and row-level errors. Uploaded files are now checked for encoding (UTF-8, with or without BOM), structure (headers, columns, parameters belonging to the report) and row content, such as CAS numbers converted to dates by Excel, methods that do not match the available options, and values that do not fit the field. Rejected rows are listed with row number, parameter, column, value and reason, and the list can be downloaded so you can fix the file offline. Valid rows are still applied.
• "Other" test method on all reports. The "Other" option is now available for every test method, including on reports created before the option was introduced. If you find a test method without it, please contact us, and we will reset it for you.

Brands / Retailers

• InCheck reports. Some suppliers' InCheck reports were hidden based on a chemical inventory-sharing setting. This has been fixed, and all InCheck reports are now shown as expected.

General Updates

• Organisation registration. Fixed an error ("Authenticated user was not invited") that blocked invited users at the account step of registration.
• ChemCheck product page. The product page now shows the certifier and expiry date of a product's certification. Next, we will add more certification details, including the certification number and validity date.
• ChemCheck report PDF. The third-party certificates table now shows the correct data in the "Certification Standard" and "Conformance Levels" columns.
• Subscriptions and checkout.
  • When a voucher brings the total to zero, no payment options or bank transfer fees are shown anymore.
  • Invoices now show the separately configured invoice address instead of the billing address.
  • Renewed subscriptions no longer trigger daily expiration reminders.
  • The "Upgrade" button has been removed for now.

Chemical Formulators

• As previously communicated regarding the OEKO-TEX® data connection, we've completed a full review of historic formulations covered by that arrangement. This ensures every one of these products consistently shows its Accepted status and the appropriate ZDHC level.
• You can now select all products in ChemCheck Product Management in one action, across every page of results and beyond the 500-item page limit. Your current search and filters are respected, and bulk actions, such as downloading the ChemCheck summary report, now apply to your full selection.

Suppliers

• ClearStream cycle IDs are now consistently displayed on every cycle.

InCheck Solution Providers

• We've aligned the Performance InCheck Review Report preview with the published report. The ZDHC MRSL distribution and total weight in the preview now always reflect the full chemical inventory, so you review the same figures before you accept and publish.

General Updates

• If a password reset email doesn't arrive, the confirmation screen now advises you to ask your IT department to allow emails from noreply@roadmaptozero.com.
• In the Chemical Formulations search, the chemical formulator filter now shows the full list of formulators as soon as you open it, so you can browse without typing first.

Coming Up

• The next sprint is on its way. The focus is on the Data Hub for brands, the Organisation Connections export, Verified InCheck, and API access for InCheck Solution Providers, as well as continued improvements to ClearStream and ChemCheck.

Chemical Formulators

• As previously communicated, while we continue working to restore the data connection between OEKO-TEX® and the ZDHC Gateway, in-scope products may carry a temporary certification in the meantime so formulators can continue publishing. Please refer to that earlier communication for background. You're always in control of removing this temporary status.
• Fixed ChemCheck product list incorrectly showing "Draft" status for products that already have an active, accepted certification.

ZDHC MRSL Certifiers

• We've improved and optimised the ChemCheck Activity Log, including tightened security so you only ever see your own organisation's activity entries and filter options.

Suppliers

• Fixed ClearStream cycles that were already completed and published, which were incorrectly still showing as in testing.
• ClearStream supplier reports now show daily discharge volume and sludge disposal pathway data.
• When ClearStream testing doesn't apply to your facility for a given cycle, you'll now see a clear, dedicated closure card confirming that testing isn't required and explaining why, instead of being left in an unclear or seemingly stuck flow. This message makes it clear that the cycle is closed and that no further action is expected, so suppliers who fall out of scope no longer need to wonder whether a next step is missing or to guess whether something else is required of them. This has been a frequent source of confusion for suppliers who don't require testing, so closing that gap should meaningfully reduce uncertainty and support questions going forward.
• Fixed some guideline-alignment issues in ClearStream reporting.
• Fixed required ClearStream test parameters not generating for a specific footwear facility-type combination.
• Fixed a registration error that could prevent a supplier from completing their invitation to join the Gateway.

Laboratories

• We've significantly improved guidance for ClearStream CSV uploads, helping ensure test method values are valid before you upload.
• We've also made the CSV upload field-saving much more reliable, so fewer values get rejected or dropped during upload.
• The "Other" test method option has been substantially improved, and is now available directly as a dropdown choice instead of a separate field.
• We've made several other updates to the way ClearStream classifies and reports test results, including a Chromium(VI) classification fix.

General Updates

• Fixed password resets that stopped working after about two days. This was caused by an account-sync issue with the ZDHC profile system, which has now been resolved.
• Chemical Formulations search now also matches on formulator name, as well as a product's alternative or local-language name, so you can find everything relevant without already knowing it's in the filter dropdown.

Coming Soon

• In the background, we're testing improvements to Data Hub and its Excel exports, to checkout, and to InCheck, along with further search improvements. Work also continues on ClearStream and ChemCheck, with a greater focus on features going forward. Look out for these in the upcoming release notes.

General Update

• Pending connection requests sent before the ZDHC Gateway relaunch that were not carried over into the new platform have now been restored for all organisations. This applies where the other organisation is already registered on the ZDHC Gateway; a request to an organisation that was never registered could not be restored. Restored requests appear under Organisations → Connections, where you can filter the Status column to Pending (alongside Active, Rejected and Disconnected) to find them. See How do I manage my organisation's connections? for more details.

Chemical Formulators

• Added local-language product names to some ChemCheck products where the data existed in legacy records but hadn't yet been carried over.
• Chemical Formulator Registration Step 3 no longer requires selecting ZDHC MRSL Conformance Levels; this selection is now optional, as intended.
• SDS downloads now complete reliably for the small number of product reports that were failing; when a file genuinely isn't available after migration, a clear message will display instead of a generic error.

ZDHC MRSL Certifiers

• Bulk certificate assignment now correctly matches a product by name when the Product ID isn't available, and the name is unique, resolving a remaining case that could still fail after the last update's fix.

ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratories

• Fixed a display issue where a required testing parameter could appear twice under Untreated Wastewater in a ClearStream cycle; each parameter now appears once as expected.
• The My Projects kanban board has been replaced with a table-based view. Each stage of the testing workflow (New Request, Sampling, Testing, Reporting, Pending Supplier Review, Completed, Rejected) is now its own page under My Projects in the left-hand navigation, with a filter to move between them, instead of a swimlane column on a single board:
  • Under each stage, you'll find a table listing your requests with ClearStream ID, Supplier ID, Supplier Name, Supplier Location, Status and Last Update. Clicking a row opens the same detail view you're used to (for example, accept or decline a New Request, or enter sampling information), so the day-to-day actions haven't changed, only how you get to them.
  • The new table properly cycles through your full list of requests.
  • "Completed" now shows your full report history, including migrated reports from before the ZDHC Gateway relaunch. From a completed project, you can download the full ClearStream Report (open the report and use the download button, top right) or export the underlying data to CSV. See Understanding the My Projects table (Wastewater Laboratories) for a full walkthrough of the new page. We're updating that article to match this change. 

Brands / Vendors

• Data Hub's InCheck bulk report download now completes successfully when your selection is within the allowed limit, rather than failing with a report count error.
• Connections search now returns matching results, instead of always showing the same organisation regardless of your search term.

General Updates

• Organisation profile editing has been redesigned with a clearer, card-based layout.
• The Connections detail view now shows more organisation information at a glance, for Brands, Vendors, and Suppliers alike.
• Search in Connections is fixed and now works by name or organisation ID.
• Global Search behaviour has changed on the Organisations and Chemical Formulations tabs: filters are shown by default, and search runs via a dedicated Search button rather than automatically as you type.

Chemical Formulators

• Fixed a migration issue that showed fewer team members than your organisation actually has.

ZDHC MRSL Certifiers

• Fixed the CSV template row-limit issue that was blocking Bulk Assign Certificates uploads.
• Refined bulk certification matching: by Product ID first, by product name when no ID is available (provided the name is unique), and now also taking formulator name into account for better matches.

Chemical Formulators

• Certification statuses on your products now correctly show "Expired" once they've lapsed.
• Technical Data Sheets (TDS) can now be added when creating or editing a product, and display properly.
• ChemCheck report downloads now have clearer file names, and all team members can download them (not just admin users).
• Fixed a subscription creation issue that could block you from subscribing.
• Your dashboard now clearly flags whether your subscription has expired or is missing.

Suppliers

• Invitation emails to your team and partner organisations are now more reliable.
• Team members can now remove themselves from your organisation.
• ClearStream: the testing laboratory name now shows directly in your reports and detail view; several reports that showed the wrong lab after migration have been corrected.
• InCheck: declining a submission now correctly frees up your slot to resubmit; several report display issues (contact info, product counts, reporting month) are fixed.

ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratories

• Your laboratory name now displays correctly across ClearStream reports (several previously migrated reports showed the wrong laboratory).
• CSV report uploads no longer fail due to formatting issues.
• ClearStream journeys no longer show steps as already completed or a laboratory as already selected before you've taken action.

Brands / Retailers

• Fixed a mismatch in Chemicals to Zero (CtZ) levels between ZDHC Gateway search results and ChemCheck reports, so the figures you see are consistent.
• Fixed inconsistent product counts and conformance data across regenerated InCheck reports.
