This article explains the ZDHC MRSL Standards page in ChemCheck — what it shows, how to read it, and how your accreditations determine which certifications you can assign to products.
01/ Accessing the ZDHC MRSL Standards page
- In the top navigation, click ChemCheck.
- In the left-hand navigation, click ZDHC MRSL Standards.
02/ What the ZDHC MRSL Standards page shows
The ZDHC MRSL Standards page is a read-only overview of all ZDHC MRSL standards your organisation is accredited to assign. These are the standards that appear as available options in the ZDHC MRSL certifications table when you review a product.
Each row in the table represents one standard your organisation holds accreditation for.
Table columns
| Column | Description |
| Standard ID | The unique platform ID for this standard, starting with 30 |
| Standard name | The name of the MRSL standard |
| MRSL version | The version of the MRSL this standard is based on (e.g., MRSL v3.1, MRSL v4.0) |
| Level | The MRSL level this standard covers: Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 |
| Start date | The date from which this accreditation is valid |
| Expiration date | The date this accreditation expires |
| Status | Whether the accreditation is currently Active or Expired |
03/ Understanding your accreditations
Your organisation may hold accreditations for multiple ZDHC MRSL versions and multiple levels. For example:
- Accreditation for ZDHC MRSL v3.1, Level 1 — expires 2027
- Accreditation for ZDHC MRSL v3.1, Level 2 — expires 2027
- Accreditation for ZDHC MRSL v4.0, Level 1 — expires 2029
- Accreditation for ZDHC MRSL v4.0, Level 2 — expires 2029
- Accreditation for ZDHC MRSL v4.0, Level 3 — expires 2029
In this example, when reviewing a product, all five of these standards would appear as available options in the ZDHC MRSL certifications table, with the v3.1 ones closer to expiry.
Tip: It is common to have a mix of active and expired accreditations on this page, particularly during transitions between ZDHC MRSL versions. Expired accreditations are shown for historical reference — they cannot be used to certify new products.
04/ Active vs Expired accreditations
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | The accreditation is within its valid period. This standard is available in the product review panel. |
| Expired | The accreditation has passed its expiration date. This standard is no longer available to assign to products. Any certifications previously issued using this standard are also expired. |
Note: The standards shown on this page are managed by ZDHC and reflect your organisation's formal accreditation records. If you believe your accreditations are incorrect or missing, contact ZDHC directly.
06/ How accreditations affect what you can certify
When you open a product in the review panel, the ZDHC MRSL certifications table only shows standards from this page that are currently Active. Expired standards do not appear as available options.
If your organisation is accredited only at Level 1, you cannot assign Level 2 or Level 3 certifications. The table will only show Level 1 standards.
