This article explains the product detail page: the central view for a single product in your ChemCheck portfolio. It describes the tab structure, what each tab contains, and when to use each one.
01/ Accessing a product detail page
From your product portfolio, click on any product name or row to open that product's detail page. The page loads a full view of that product with a tab bar across the top.
02/ Tab overview
The product detail page is organised into three tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Overview | Product information: name, classification, SDS, local language names, status |
| Certificates | Certification body assignments and MRSL / CTZ certification status |
| Activity log | A timestamped history of all actions taken on this product |
03/ Overview tab
The Overview tab is the default view when you open a product. It shows:
- Product name and any alternative or local language names
- Product ID
- Organisation (your company name as the creating formulator)
- Product classification (the category assigned to the product)
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
- Current status (the product's lifecycle status (Draft, Under Review, Accepted, Not Accepted, or Published))
From the Overview tab, you can also access the edit action for the product (where permitted).
04/ Certificates tab
The Certificates tab shows all certification body assignments for this product and the current certification status for each.
For each assigned CB, you can see:
- The certification body's name
- The assignment date
- The ZDHC MRSL level assigned (if any)
- The CtZ level assigned (if any)
- The current assignment status (Under Review, Accepted, or Declined)
- The reason for the decline (if the CB has declined the assignment)
05/ Assigning a certification body
You can assign a new certification body to the product from this tab. Click Assign CB to open the assignment modal. See How to assign certification bodies to your product for a full walkthrough.
Note: The certification body will see the product in their Approvals overview as soon as you save the assignment. The platform does not send them an automatic notification — contact the CB directly after assigning.
06/ Unassigning a certification body
To remove a CB assignment, use the unassign option next to the relevant CB. This immediately removes the product from the CB's Approvals overview. Any certifications they had issued remain on record but are no longer actively maintained by that CB.
07/ Activity log tab
The Activity log tab displays a chronological list of all events related to this product. This includes:
- Product creation
- Edits to product details, classification, or SDS
- CB assignments and unassignments
- Status changes
- Publish and unpublish events
- Certification actions taken by assigned CBs
Each entry shows the date and time, the action, and the actor (the user who performed it). Use this tab to trace a product's history or investigate a status change.
