Knowledge base

Input materials, if not managed, can be a critical entry point for restricted substances in the production process. Managing them is necessary because:

  • Hazardous substances can be unintentionally introduced through raw fibres, yarns, fabrics, semi-processed materials, hides or leather, etc.
  • Input material management complements input chemical management already required under ZDHC ZDHC Supplier to Zero.

Therefore, input material control forms an additional safeguard alongside chemical management.
