No, is the short answer. The meaning of the Level between StZ V1 and V2 is different, and the two versions are not backwards compatible, and so “maintaining a level” is not possible. 

In version 1, the level referred to the type of assessment, whereas in version 2 it refers to performance. As such, no comparison can be made between the levels of version 1 and version 2, and there can be no expectation that a supplier who had level 2 previously will achieve level 2 in version 2. 

The equivalent of a StZ V1 level 2 is a StZ third-party desktop assessment.
