This section outlines the process for applying to become a ZDHC Signatory. It also describes how applications are handled and the steps that will be taken to onboard a new Signatory as they settle into this important role.
01/ The process
- Indicate Interest
Write an email to contribute@zdhc.org to indicate your interest to become a ZDHC Signatory, to receive more information and the application documents. - Application
Complete, sign, and send the application form that corresponds to the Signatory category your organisation would fall into. Categories are Brand, Chemical Industry, Textile/Apparel/Leather/Footwear Industry, or Associate. - Approval
The ZDHC Foundation will assess your application and if it is approved, will communicate that to you. - Onboarding - Documentation and Administration
After approval, we will prepare further documentation, which you will need to sign and return to us:- Commitment Letter
- Contributor Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Contributor Mutual Logo Licence Agreement
You will also be requested to complete an administration form to name us the persons that should be integrated into the ZDHC programme.
- Communication
After ZDHC has announced your new Signatory engagement, you will be added to our communications lists. You will also be invited to calls and meetings and be able to request access to the ZDHC Signatory intranet, where all ZDHC Programme documents are housed. We will also work with you to coordinate any announcement you wish to make.

02/ Frequently asked questions
The ZDHC Foundation assesses your eligibility and processes your application. Final approval is granted by the ZDHC Management Team. ZDHC will communicate the outcome of that process to you.
Yes. In your application, you will have pre-agreed to sign our onboarding contract(s) upon your approval as a ZDHC Signatory. After your application is approved you need to sign the following documents:
- Commitment Letter
- Signatory Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Signatory Mutual Logo Licence Agreement
Once you have signed all the relevant key documents and all the forms are completed, your company’s ZDHC Signatory engagement will be announced. Your integration into the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme will begin in order for you to familiarise yourself with ZDHC and start your engagement. Certain administrative tasks will be completed to ensure you are invited to calls/meetings, added to contact lists, receive the Weekly Digest, are registered for monthly Signatory Forum calls, and can access the ZDHC Signatory intranet.
