Please refer to ZDHC Man-made Cellulosic Fibre (MMCF) Guidelines V2.2.
In order to apply for the approval as a ZDHC MMCF Wastewater Laboratory, the applicant laboratory must be one of the ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratories.
Additionally, the following is required:
- Fill in chapters on the left side of the screen with all information/documents required
- Fill in “substances” section for CS2
- ISO 17025 accreditation or a Proficiency Test should be available
- ZDHC Approved Test methods shall be used or an equivalent method*
- The parameter could be subcontracted
The outsourced laboratory may be an affiliate of, or external to, the laboratory accredited for testing.
*In case none of these requirements are satisfied, you have time by the 6th March 2024 to provide to ZDHC the proof to have fulfilled requests. This should be declared in a document.
**If an equivalent method is defined by ZDHC as a method that has the fundamentally same sample collection (for example: container, preservative), sample preparation (for example: derivatization, extraction, digestion) and analysis (for example; GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS). The laboratory has to share with ZDHC relevant information to assess the equivalence. Alternatively, a method may be accepted by ZDHC if a method validation process has been successfully completed, and those results/data are shared with ZDHC. The pre-approval process is conducted so that data from one lab can be compared directly and equivalently to any other lab in the ZDHC program.
Please note in certain situations, ZDHC may request additional information and documentation or carry out specific evaluations, which may include derogations on certain requirements or acceptance of equivalent quality assurance criteria, to grant a fair, consistent, high-quality implementation of the Roadmap to Zero Programme on a global scale. If any extra fees are associated with this evaluation, the laboratory will receive advance notice.
