Knowledge base

The MMCF Module enables MMCF Suppliers to demonstrate advanced environmental management knowledge. Its objective is to reduce wastewater pollution originating in the MMCF production process, chemical recovery from input substances and by-products and reducing air emission pollution originating in the MMCF production process.

The module marks the entry point to take full ownership of your ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme implementation efforts. Facilities are expected to assess what is needed to report against Air emissions, Wastewater and Responsible Fibre Production Guidelines and plan accordingly by completing the Module questions. The questionnaire is based on the principles of the ZDHC MMCF Guidelines. By answering these questions, facilities demonstrate their awareness of good chemical management in achieving the limits for wastewater, sludge and air emissions during fibre production. In the future, the facilities' continuous improvement roadmap is assessed.
