The ClearStream Report in Excel version, provides a reflection of the scores, metrics and aggregated data from the main ClearStream Report in PDF format, specifically from its first two pages. The main numbers included are the following:
-
High Level Score obtained by the Supplier.
How this score is calculated can be seen in Appendix B of the ClearStream Report in PDF.
Note: for each Test Report (TRID) and Parameter Type (e.g. MRSL) the value in this column will be the same for all rows, as this is the total score per Parameter Type and not a breakdown.
-
Total Points Available for a given Supplier in the High Level Score.
Totals are calculated based on the Facilities Discharge Type, Daily Wastewater Generated and the logic presented in Appendix B of the ClearStream Report in PDF. For more information on the parameters that a facility must test please see the ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines.
Note: for each Test Report (TRID) and Parameter Type (e.g. MRSL) the value in this column will be the same for all rows, as this is the total score per Parameter Type and not a breakdown. -
Percentage of Total contribution of each ClearStream Evaluation.
Example for Conventional, Anions and Metals evaluation levels are Foundational, Progressive, Aspirational, Alert and Not Analysed. For each Test Report (TRID) these five rows will add up to 100% (1).
Note: these percentages are presented independently of the High Level Score obtained.
The Test Report Data is a complete breakdown of each Test Report (TRID) with associated metadata. It provides you with the test value by parameter and its ClearStream evaluation.
Not to worry! As of December 2022, we have released the definitions sheets as part of the data extracts. Therefore, when you download either of these files the definitions will be included in your download.
This new approach to the data structure is to future-proof our data extracts, as Wastewater Guidelines change, to allow comparisons across time and to offer Brands more flexibility to manipulate and use the data in the way that they want to.
To change data and manipulate without using code or databases, pivot tables might come in handy. To understand more about how to use pivot tables please refer here.
Tip: you can use a single column more than once in a pivot table. Let’s say you are using the ClearStream Report (in Excel) and want to know the count of parameters that are in each ClearStream Evaluation level. Simply move the field ClearStream Evaluation into the Columns or Rows, and then hold ‘Control’ and move it again into Values. From here you can change the aggregation and filters!
The Data Hub allows you to download data about all your connections at once:
- Access Data Hub on the left navigation panel and select ClearStream.
- Choose the Date Range and File Type.
- Tick the box under SELECT, which automatically selects the data for all of your Suppliers.
- Click GENERATE.
- If you have more than one page of Suppliers listed, the pop-up window will appear asking whether you want to download just the first page or all pages. Select the second option and click PROCEED.
Tip: wastewater data can be large in volume if your connections list is long. If you are having trouble with downloading data all at once, break down your requests into smaller sets of Suppliers, this will help speed up your downloads.
In short, yes! Both data extracts are available via APIs. For more information about the Wastewater APIs please refer to the PDF attached at the bottom of this page.
