There is no grading system for the ZDHC Wastwater Guideline v2.1, except that the conventional parameters have graded limits values at foundational, progressive and aspirational levels, with the limits getting stricter from foundational to aspirational. In the ClearStream Report that will be applicable when the ZDHC Wastwater Guideline v2.1 is applicable from 2023 onwards, we will be including a Performance Scoring mechanism for the conventional metals, anions and MRSL parameters tested as per the ZDHC Wastwater Guideline v2.1 which will be benchmarked to a maximum score out of 100 for each type of discharge. There will not be a score for the sludge testing.
The ClearStream Report includes the type of discharge, and the results are linked to the same. In the ClearStream Report, the high-level performance ratings will be based on the type of discharge (direct, indirect with pretreatment, indirect without pretreatment and zero liquid discharge).

Sampling, testing and reporting on ZDHC WW Guidelines to be completed at least twice per year, at the latest by April 30 and October 31. Sampling, testing, and reporting can occur anytime during each reporting cycle, as long as there are at least three months between sample dates for the two reporting deadlines. Suggested reporting deadlines per year: 01 November - 30 April and 01 May - 30 October.
