1. What it means to be a ZDHC Approved Assessment Provider
Becoming a ZDHC Approved Assessment Provider enables organisations to deliver ZDHC aligned assessment solutions to organisations participating in ZDHC programmes.
Approval operates at both organisational and individual assessor/reviewer levels, ensuring that services are delivered by qualified professionals within capable organisations and allowing the activation of multiple solution modules based on the capacity.
2. Overview of the approval structure
Participation in the programme is based on four core elements:
Organisational approval
Individual assessors/reviewers approval (through CV-Curriculum Vitae review)
Approval of one Lead assessor/reviewer per module
Payment of annual fees linked to service modules
3. Available Service Modules and Timelines
Assessment approval allows activation of multiple modules for both desktop and on-site assessment (more to be added in the future):
Approval starts: You may begin the approval application process for this service module.
Service delivery: This service can be delivered only starting from this date.
| Service Module | Approval start | Service delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier to Zero | July 2026 | July 2026 |
| MMCF | July 2026 | Jan 2027 |
| Dissolved Pulp | July 2026 | Jan 2027 |
| Recycled Polyester | July 2026 | Jan 2027 |
| ETP | August 2026 | September 2026 |
4. Activation of Service Modules
An organisation becomes active for a service module once:
- The organisation application is approved
- The organisation has signed the relevant contract
- One Lead assessor/reviewer is approved and qualified for each relevant module
- The applicable annual fee has been paid
Organisations may activate services progressively:
- Start with one module once the Lead assessor/reviewer is approved
- Add additional modules when assessors/reviewers and organisational capacity grows
5. Validity of the approval
Organisational and individual approvals are, in principle, valid for 4 years.
This validity period applies across the organisational approval, individual assessor/reviewer approval, and the related fee structure.
An exception may apply in cases where major changes are introduced to the ZDHC programme that materially affect approval requirements or assessment expectations. In such cases, any implications for approval validity will be communicated in advance to both the organisation and the individual assessors/reviewers concerned.
