For who is the ZDHC Sampler training?

The ZDHC Sampler is currently only provided to Samplers working for a ZDHC Accepted Lab.

Can I apply for the ZDHC Sampler training?

Only the Accepted Laboratories are able to nominate their samplers to take the Sampler Training via the ZDHC Lab and Certifier Management Platform. Please contact your lab representative if you wish to be nominated for this training.

What does the ZDHC Sampler training cost?

The sampler training is 19 euros per person, which will include the certification of the sampler. When you are a bigger lab and you would wish to enrol a large group of samplers please contact us.

Is it mandatory to become certified as a sampler to do testing against ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines.

As of this week we expect all samplers to become certified to test against ZDHC Wastewater guidelines. Of course we take into account a transition period but we do expect all samplers to certify themselves as soon as possible. The certificate will include a sampler ID which needs to be filled in on the sampling reports to create more transparency.

How long is my sampler certification valid for?

Your sampler certificate is valid for 1 years unless there are important updates or changes to the ZDHC requirements, which will significantly impact the sampling procedures.

Why do I need to get certified?

The certificate will include a sampler ID which needs to be filled in on the test reports to create more transparency. With the ID we will know you have done the training and are up to date about our sampling requirements.

What does the content of the training look like?

The training is based on the Sampling and Analyses Plan. It contains 8 online modules and an exam.

Where can I nominate samplers for the sampler training?

When you are a ZDHC Accepted Lab you can nominate your samplers on the Lab Management Platform under the tab samplers. The sampler will receive an invitation in their inbox with which they can register for the training.

What are the differences between online training and webinars in the ZDHC Academy?

Online training courses are paid courses, delivered by individual Accredited Training.

Where can you find accredited wastewater testing laboratories?

You can find the full list of accepted laboratory on the ZDHC Roadmap To Zero Webpage.

Do I need to have my personal email address to do the training?

Yes, each Wastewater and Sludge Sample Collection training to be nominated sampler needs to be in possession of a dedicated personal email address to be able to receive a nomination. Each nomination is linked to 1 sampler.

Does my personal email address need to be the same as my email address of my ZDHC Academy account?

Yes, to be able to accept your invitation to the Wastewater and Sludge Sample Collection training your personal email address for the training nomination needs to be the same email address as that of your ZDHC Academy account.

I have nominated my sampler twice for the Wastewater and Sludge Sample Collection training. How can I delete one of the 2 nominations?

Please contact training@zdhc.org for more information. The ZDHC Academy team will need to support you with deleting 1 nomination.
