Knowledge base
  • Sulphur (S) air emission limits revised to 20, 12, 9 kg per tonne of fibre at Foundational, Progressive and Aspirational levels respectively.

  • The aspirational target of 9 kg/tonne of sulphur air emission should be met either through mass balance calculation or by measuring channelled emissions (the sum of H₂S and CS₂, expressed as total sulphur).

  • Calculation method for channelised sulphur emissions is added.

  • GHG reporting added: MMCF facilities may utilise existing platforms for calculating absolute GHG Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, which are recognised and aligned with GHG Protocol standards, and report the emissions data and reduction targets in the MMCF Module. This requirement applies to all MMCF facilities
