Knowledge base

The sludge documentation must be collected from the facility by the ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratory Sampler and submitted to the laboratory.

Once the ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratory receives the signed sludge documentation from the sampler, the laboratory should study the document and plan the testing of the sludge sample as per the disposal pathway confirmed through the document by the facility as follows:

  • If the sludge document contains complete or partial information, the lab should test the sludge sample as per the sludge disposal pathway declared in the document. (In the case of Disposal Pathway A, B and C only ZDHC MRSL parameters and % solids are to be tested)
  • If the sludge document does not contain any information about the declared sludge disposal pathway, the sludge sample should be tested by the lab as per “Disposal Pathway F” considering the worst-case scenario.

The lab must complete the list of questions on the supplier’s Gateway account and then upload the documentation at the required section at the bottom of the page.

See below screenshot as an example.
