A smaller group of participants within a focus group. There may be multiple sub-focus groups within one focus group. These occur where there is a need to split the focus of the focus group assignment into sections to enable a more detailed review of specific topics. Sub-focus groups only contain members from the main focus group, but not all members of the focus group will be in each sub-focus group.
