Do all courses have an exam, and provide a certificate?
Most of the courses that are provided on the platform include an exam and the learners will be eligible to receive a training certificate upon successfully completing a course and passing the exam.
However, there are some courses on the ZDHC Academy that do not include an exam. Any course that does not include an exam does not provide a certificate. ZDHC Academy will indicate this in the course description, which can be seen prior to sign-up.
Typically courses that do not include an exam will be short training courses or an introduction to a new ZDHC Guidelines.
If I have signed up for a certifiable course, what criteria must I meet in order to receive a Certificate of Completion from the ZDHC Academy?
All learners must complete each of the following actions:
-
Sign-up for one of the online self-paced e-learning, online, in-person or blended training sessions organized by an ZDHC Approved Training Provider on the ZDHC Academy Platform.
-
Fully attend the training session.
-
Complete the exam and score 75% or above, unless this is specified otherwise, with a maximum of two attempts.
When will I be able to open up my exam?
Your course completion will be marked by the ZDHC approved training provider at the end of the training if you have attended all sessions (so it’s normal that you see a pending registration at the beginning). After the trainer has confirmed you have completed the course you can open up your exam on the platform.
What happens if I don’t pass the exam after two attempts?
If you have not passed the exam after two attempts you will not receive a Certificate of Achievement. However, you may request 2 additional attempts for the training exam for an additional fee of EUR 25. You will receive a certificate of achievement after successfully passing the exam.
What is the timeframe to complete the exam after I have completed the training?
For any courses hosted by an Approved Training Provider, online guided by a trainer or in person, you have 14 days to complete the exam.
If you have enrolled in e-learning hosted by ZDHC Academy or self-paced e-learning from one of our Approved Training Providers, you must complete the course (including the exam) within six weeks of registration.
What happens if I do not complete the exam within a designated timeframe?
Unless there is an extenuating circumstance, ZDHC Academy will not be able to reopen the exam for you. The reopening of the examination is at the sole discretion of the ZDHC Academy. In case you require the exam to be reopened, contact your Approved Training Provider and they will be able to send this request to the ZDHC Academy team. An administrative fee of EUR €25 applies, which is paid directly to the Approved Training Provider. If you meet all training requirements, you will be eligible to receive your Certificate of achievement.
Where can I download the certificate?
After you have attended an in-person or online session and passed the exam, your certificate will be ready to download on the training platform in your dashboard.
How long will the certificate be valid?
Typically, the Certificate of Achievement is valid for two years, unless it is stated otherwise. The validity period of your certificate is stated on the certificate itself. On the ZDHC Academy Platform, we inform you if your certificate is expiring soon and on which day it will expire.
Your certificate can be renewed after two years by attending additional training sessions.
Contact an approved training provider to receive suggestions about which training to attend next.
How do I know if an exam question is single-choice or multiple-choice?
Below each question, we indicate if an exam question is single-choice or multiple-choice.
Currently, exams on the ZDHC Academy are offered in multiple languages. Not all exams are already available in all languages we provide training in, but we are working on optimising our training language possibilities for you. When you start to answer an exam question, there is a dropdown menu on the right hand side in the upper corner that gives you the possibility to change your exam language. It will show you in which languages the exam is available. You can change the language anytime. Even when you already started answering questions.
Yes, you can come back later. You can start answering questions and proceed later in the day or even the next day. You will be able to start again where you left off.
Am I able to see which questions I did wrong when I passed or failed my exam?
No, unfortunately you will not be able to see which questions you did wrong yourself. However, the training organisation offering the training can. Therefore contact the training provider to see if they can give you more insight in the answers to the exam questions.
