Why are we creating a new ZDHC Academy platform?
ZDHC constantly strives to improve the usability and functionality of the ZDHC Academy platform, as well as increase the user experience. In this regard, we are creating a new platform that will improve your experience.
When are the transition period of this platform and the system downtime / blackout period?
The existing ZDHC Academy platform will go offline between the 19th of April and 1st of May 2023.
What does the ZDHC Academy blackout period mean to me as a learner?
During the ZDHC Academy system blackout period, you (as a learner) would not be able to:
-
Set up a new account on the ZDHC Academy platform
-
Update your current user account information, including resetting the password
-
Login to the ZDHC Academy Platform
-
Sign-up for a new training course, including those starting after the blackout period.
-
Taking online learning directly on the ZDHC Academy. The affected course includes:
-
Introduction to ZDHC e-Learning (all languages)
-
Wastewater & Sludge Sampler Training - Version 2.1
-
Verified InCheck Level 1 Training
-
-
Complete the examination for all course categories
If you have an outstanding course to complete or need to complete the exam, please do so before the blackout period.
If you are not able to do so before the blackout period, you may resume your learning after the new ZDHC Academy goes online. However, the ZDHC Academy Team will not be able to transfer your partially completed exam from the old platform to the new platform, which means you will have to start your exam again once the new ZDHC Acacemt is live.
All activities and functionalities will be resumed on the new ZDHC Academy platform on the launch date.
What does the ZDHC Academy blackout period mean to me as a ZDHC Wastewater Laboratory or InCheck Verifier?
During the ZDHC Academy system blackout period, you will not be able to nominate your employees to take either the Wastewater & Sludge Sampler Training or InCheck Verifier Level 1 Training. You are therefore encouraged to nominate them after the launch of the new platform on 1st May 2023.
In case your employees have not accepted the invitation that was sent to them prior to the blackout period, then you will need to resend them this invitation after the new ZDHC Academy platform is launched. See the below article - I missed the course registration invitation email and I want to sign-up for the course but the transition period has started. What should I do?
In case your employees were not able to complete the course or exam before the blackout period, they will be able to resume their learning or restart their exam once the new ZDHC Academy platform is launched. See the below article - Due to personal reasons, I was not able to complete the exam before the ZDHC Academy blackout period started. What should I do?
Once the ZDHC Academy is launched, do I need to create a new account?
If you have an account on the old ZDHC Academy, you don't need to create a new account once the new ZDHC Academy Platform is launched. We encourage you to check out and explore the new platform once it is launched. When you go to the new platform, you will be asked to:
-
Reset your password for security reasons
-
Login to the new platform to review and update your profile to ensure your information on the ZDHC Academy platform remains up-to-date.
What happens to my existing data and my certification status?
ZDHC Academy team will strive to make the transition as seamless as possible. In this regard, the following information will be automatically transferred from the old to the new platform:
-
Your personal profile, including the username*
-
Your attendance status of your past courses
-
Your certification status and exam results
-
Your course enrolment status of future courses (except non-accepted course invitations)
*Note: you will be asked to reset your password for security reasons
Unfortunately, due to technical reasons, we are unable to transfer the following data.
-
Any course registration invitation links sent to you via the existing ZDHC Academy platform
-
Responses of partially and fully completed exam
-
PDF copies of your training certificates in the current format
I missed the course registration invitation email and I want to sign-up for the course but the transition period has started. What should I do?
The existing course registration link that you have received will no longer be valid. Please ask your Approved Training Provider (ATP) to resend you the link after the new platform is live again on 1st of May 2023.
In case the training courses you have been invited to involve the following, then please ask your Solution Provider who you work for to resend you the course training invitation after 1st May 2023:
-
Wastewater & Sludge Sampler Training (Version 2.1)
-
InCheck Verifiers - Level 1
Due to personal reasons, I was not able to complete the exam before the ZDHC Academy blackout period started. What should I do?
The ZDHC Academy team strongly encourages you to complete the exam prior to the start of the platform blackout period. However, if you are unable to do so, you can restart your exam after the launch of the new platform on 1st May 2023.
Please be advised that any exam responses that you have filled out in your partially completed exam will not be transferred to the new platform. This means you will have to redo the exam from the beginning.
I forgotten to download the training certificate in time for the ZDHC Academy blackout period. What should I do?
For your own personal record, the ZDHC Academy team strongly encourages you to download your training certificates prior to the start of the platform blackout period. However, if you are not able to do so, you can download the certificate after the new platform is launched on 1st May 2023.
Please be advised that the certificate that you download on the new ZDHC Academy platform will have a different format. Nevertheless, the certificate validity will remain the same.
Will there be a change of fee and training model on the new ZDHC Academy platform?
Training courses that are provided by our Approved Training Providers (ATPs) are set by the respective training company and the fee levels are set at a market competitive rate based on the training types and location of where the training will be hosted.
ZDHC is bound to the relevant anti-trust regulation in the EU and the US, therefore we do not have an influence over the fee level set by the ZDHC Approved Training Providers.
Aside from this initial improvement. Will there be future updates to the platform?
ZDHC Academy Team strives to continue to improve the platform. You will see gradual improvements in the coming months and years after the new ZDHC Academy platform is launched.
